KimaCell® HPMC MP100M is hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose used for Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS/ETICS).HPMC quickly disperses, swells and dissolves in cold water. The aqueous solution is quite stable at room temperature, and can gel at high temperature, and the gel can change with the solution with the temperature. It has excellent wettability, dispersibility, adhesion, thickening, emulsification, salt discharge, water retention and film-forming properties, and impermeability to oil. The formed film has excellent toughness, flexibility and transparency. Because it is non-ionic, it can be compatible with other emulsifiers, but it is easy to salt out. HPMC has the property of thermal gelation. The product aqueous solution is heated to form a gel and precipitates, and then dissolves after cooling. The gelation temperature of different specifications of the product is different.

Modified cellulose ether can improve the rheological state of cellulose ether after swelling in water, increase its thixotropy, thereby increasing the thixotropic index of the mortar, the thixotropy of the mortar is improved and improved, and the shear resistance of the mortar slips performance is further improved. Modified cellulose ether can enhance the operability of mortar, its thickening effect is better than that of cellulose ether, and it can reduce stickiness to knife. Screening and reasonable matching of cellulose ether can ensure good construction operability of mortar to a certain extent.
Adhesive mortar bonds the insulation board and the wall substrate, and the plastering mortar is applied on the outer surface of the insulation board to protect the overall insulation system. Both require excellent and durable bonding strength to ensure the safety of the insulation system.
