HEC HS200000

KimaCell® HEC HS200000 Hydroxyethyl cellulose ether has good thermal stability below 140 ℃ and does not produce precipitation under acidic conditions. HEC aqueous solution is a fluid with high pseudoplasticity, and its apparent viscosity decreases with the increase of shear rate. The pseudoplasticity of low molecular weight solution is close to that of Newtonian fluid, and its solution viscosity changes little in the range of pH 2-12, but exceeds Viscosity decreases in this range. HEC has excellent salt tolerance for electrolytes, and will not cause changes in viscosity due to precipitation or sedimentation residues due to high concentrations of salt in the system. The water retention capacity of HEC is twice as high as that of methyl cellulose (MC), and it has good flow regulation. When the temperature of the solution increases, the viscosity will decrease, and the viscosity will increase when the temperature decreases.

Application of HEC HS200000

KimaCell® HEC HS200000 Hydroxyethyl cellulose has been widely used in cosmetics daily chemical products such as toothpaste, shower gel, hand sanitizer, skin cream, shampoo and glycerin skin care lotion, shoe polish and detergent, which need to be thickened to form a stable emulsified system.

The shower gel with soap base as the main active ingredient does not have the greasy feeling of general surfactants after use, is easy to clean, and protects the natural luster of the skin. HEC has excellent solvent resistance to electrolytes, and its solution contains high-concentration salts and remains stable. Using HEC as a thickener for soap-based shower gels is the best choice.

The solubility of the disinfectant and bactericide added to the hand sanitizer is very different in the aqueous solution, and the use of HEC can form a uniform and stable emulsified system.
